This is a lovely large Victorian metal hat box with original paint work. The 19th century box is oval has a metal handle on the lid and a front clasp which a padlock could be fitted to (not supplied). Inside is painted blue. The external base is black.
In fairly good condition for its age. There are knocks, marks and some paint splashes to the outside of the box and some wear to the paint work inside. The base has some rust spots. It has an antique charm. Please see images.
