This is a lovely framed antique Ruddy Shiedrake bookplate. The print is over a 100 years old, it is plate 36 from Cassell's Book of Birds. The print show the Ruddy Shiedrake on grass beside reeds with the sea in the background. Presented in a gold wooden frame with card mount. There is wire on the back. Some writing on the back about its framing in 1978.
In fairly good condition for its age. Some foxing to the mount and very light foxing to the print. Please see images.
